Houghton Lake Walleye Report 6/23

Walleye fishing continues to be excellent on Houghton. We fished the Northwest end of the lake on Tuesday evening and ended up with a two man limit in three hours.

The weather is finally warming up and now that the water temperature is increasing we are speeding up our troll a bit and working 7 FOW. Trolled with TD 5 blue and white tail dancers, white storms, and gold / black Berkley’s at 2.35mph.

  1. We will be staying at a resort on HL starting Sat. Would you be interested in charting a couple of us one evening or morning? Please email me at jamiechipper@hotmail.com
If you are not willing to charter, do you mind sharing a couple of your spots? Again, I understand if you will not (one fisherman to the next).

  2. BTW - we fished Curtis area opening day of walleye season last year (Big Manistique) and didnt have much success either. We decided to go to Canada this year - fishing was much better.
